Do you love Photo Face off? Do you love Sci-Fi?…

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

 sficons_homepage.jpg

A few months ago, Digital Photographer launched Photo Face Off, an innovative web feature which allows users to select their favourite of two images in a head to head battle.

Imagine Publishing and Sci Fi Now magazine have launched the all new SFicons.com.  Giving SciFiNow readers a web-based ‘Top Trumps’ experience, SFicons.com marks the latest in a line of new online activity for the magazine and its affiliated websites. Earlier this year, in partnership with Moviebeat, Scifinow.co.uk began hosting video content for all the latest sci-fi blockbusters, including interviews, trailers and premiere reports. 2008 also saw the launch of the SciFiNow daily news and blog features.

“It’s another superb addition,” said Aaron Asadi, Editor in Chief of SciFiNow. “We’re really excited about SFicons.com and think our readers are going to enjoy the feature a great deal. Comparing sci-fi heroes and having favourites has long been the wont of sci-fi fans across the world and it’s great that we can provide a forum for expression on the subject. We’re delighted with the site and can’t wait to see it grow.”

Visit it today and let us know what you think!

Have you got any light painted landscapes?

Monday, October 6th, 2008

We’re looking for shots with the potential to be a DP cover - have you got what it takes?

We’re after beautiful landscapes, but with a light painted element within them. Have you got a night time shot of hay bales, which are pain stakingly lit by torchlight? Or a single flower highlighted by a match?

We want to see your shots! Send them to debbi.allen@dphotographer.co.uk
